SustainCast producer course in Aarhus, Denmark
The SustainCast workshop in Denmark was an instructive learning experience for the SustainCast Podcast Producers and Partners!
The podcast course unfolded in the brisk winds of Denmark's November, nestled in the intriguingly named "the bunker" in Aarhus. Despite its curious title, the venue proved to be a great choice!

Over three engaging days, Noa from FO-Arhus skilfully steered us through the art of crafting a podcast. Participants from the partnership attended, including future podcast producers. The partnership is to create 6 episodes each – all about these different subjects:
Over three engaging days, Noa from FO-Arhus skilfully steered us through the art of crafting a podcast. Participants from the partnership attended, including future podcast producers. The partnership is to create 6 episodes each – all about these different subjects:
● Food and Waste
● Clothing
● Transportation
● Travel
● Plastic Waste
● Energy consumption
In lively sessions, we brainstormed podcast setups, shared ideas for interviews, and debated whether to have a common introduction melody. Practical exercises covered:
● Recording equipment
● Audio Editing
● Publishing
We followed the well written podcast guide that is published on the online platform: https://sustaincast.eu/en/podcast-producer-course in which all of these subjects are mentioned together with some valuable tips and tricks.
The discussions highlighted diverse perspectives on sustainable living, each country grappling with unique dilemmas. From Sweden's ease in finding sustainable lifestyles to Greece's more challenging landscape, every nation showcased its distinct challenges.
Post-learning sessions participants explored Aarhus together, along with a guide who shared historical facts about Aarhus. Despite the rather chilly weather, it was fascinating to explore Aarhus and learn about its history. Everyone also attended a social dinner, which of course, consisted of a green cosine that further enriched the experience.
After 3 very educational days, everyone seems to be ready to create the 6 podcast episodes, and we are all looking forward to the listening party that will take place later in the project.
Next step is finalisation of the episodes, before we all meet again in Spain!
